Transport Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day transportation and fleet operations.
• Plan and optimize routes for cost-effective and timely deliveries.
• Coordinate vehicle allocation, dispatch schedules, and driver management.
• Monitor fleet performance, fuel usage, maintenance schedules, and transport costs.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, permits, and safety standards.
• Track shipment movement and resolve operational delays or delivery issues.
• Collaborate with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams for smooth logistics execution.
• Maintain transport documentation, records, and reporting.
• Develop strategies to improve fleet utilization and operational efficiency.
• Handle vendor and transporter coordination when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in transport or fleet management.
• Strong understanding of transportation operations and route planning.
• Knowledge of fleet maintenance, compliance, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in transport management systems and MS Excel.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
